James Vardy had an immense match and with a hat-trick he guided Leicester’s victory over Manchester City by a score of 5-2.

Liverpool’s spectacular season aside , Leicester City had a great 2019-2020 campaign; Despite not winning any title, the club made it clear that they want to fight for the title again.

Their level has not dropped at the start of the season, and guided by an immense Vardy they thrashed Manchester City at home to take a spectacular 5-2 victory.

It was a game that was dominated by Guardiola’s team , who went ahead on the scoreboard just at minute 4 thanks to a goal from Mahrez; however, Vardy appeared to tie the penalty at 38, the scoreboard with which the first half ended.

It seemed that City had the table set, but that was where the figure of Vardy was again present and at 54 and 58 he turned the game around and left those led by Guardiola mortally wounded.

It was hard for City to react and when it seemed like they could try something, at 77 Maddison scored the fourth goal for his team; finally Aké at 84 brought his team closer, but Tielemans at 88 put definitive figures on the scoreboard.

A victory that makes it clear that Leicester have enough capacity to fight for the title, while leaving Manchester City very badly, who are not yet capable of reaching their best level.
