With a more aggressive and remarkably sporty aesthetic, the new 2021 Hyundai Sonata N Line debuted .
Generally speaking, the new Sonata range underwent a complete image makeover , advancing into its seventh generation . As usual, the N Line models come with specific adjustments, and in the case of the sedan it is visible in various accessories on its bodywork.
Inside, the elements of technological equipment and distribution of the front panel are the same in both the standard version and the N Line. In the sports model, the difference is made with red stitching applied to the entire upholstery and chrome inserts.
The distinctive elements of the new Sonata N Line include the grille, air intakes and specifically designed bumpers , all darkened to accentuate its sporty essence. The lines on the hood and integrating an LED lighting line connected to the headlights were also included.
From a side view, the vehicle features new 19-inch silver and black painted wheels . And in its rear part, retaining the same lighting system seen in the standard model, it is distinguished by the bumper, also darkened and here there are two double exhaust outlets.
The technological applications on board are managed through two touch screens . A 12.3-inch to deliver information to the driver and a 10.5-inch for infotainment functions. From the latter it is also possible to adjust the driving modes offered by the N Line.
However, the information shared omitted data from its powertrain. Faced with the absence of exact figures, the bet is on a 2.5-liter four-cylinder Turbo engine that can deliver 290 horsepower and 421 Nm.
The transmission should be an eight-speed dual-clutch front-wheel drive. If the characteristics correspond, this would be the same engine as the Kia K5 GT .
“The 2021 Sonata N Line will attract more customers to both the strong Sonata line and our increasingly popular N Line sub-brand,” said SangYup Lee , director of Hyundai’s Global Design Center.
